At the September 24, 2019 workshop, participants saw a presentation on progress achieved since July to transition the Niagara Escarpment Biosphere Reserve (NEBR) to community leadership. They also brainstormed ideas for a mission statement for the new, community-based organization that will be formed to lead the NEBR.

Membership of a Transitional Leadership Committee (TLC) to oversee establishment of this new organization, tracking for mid-2020, was announced at the workshop.  Read all about the TLC’s four current members here.

The TLC is meeting regularly to prepare the path to formation of the permanent NEBR organization. For the interim period, progress updates will be posted on the website of the Niagara Escarpment Commission.
